Becoming a Daisy

I have been through a journey since a couple of months... I had no suitcase at the beginning and infact I was not aware that I should have a really big one.

At the very beginning, my intention was only to attend a training to learn 'Coaching Skills' and see what goes with the flow. Then, CHANGE started.

Change comes along when you start to discover more about yourself. The 'self-awareness' is the key to open the door.

Today, in an exercise I was asked to write a book, to name it, express what people would get out of it and to whom it will be dedicated to...

I have a book now. A lot is in that book about who I am and what I bring to this world.

What you will be reading in this book is all 'real'. There is life, friendship, love, passion, challenges, success, fulfillment, joy, bliss and so much more than you could have ever imagined... This is the story of 'becoming a Daisy'...

... I would like to invite you to 'explore more about yourself' and challenge you on 'sharing what you have with the whole world'.

This book is dedicated to the 'ones who touched my heart' during my journey in life and particularly to all my true and great friends I have met though Adler International Learning. Thank you so much for 'being there' and 'being so real'...

Who inspires me?

There are many kind of people around us... Friends, friends of our friends, colleagues, family members, lovers etc...

Among them, there are the ones who are different, who touches our heart  and  inspires us...

Recently I have been asking to myself... Who inspires me?

People who are thoughtful and caring – You can see the humanity in them.
People who have the continous energy to improve themselves. Enough is never enough... That’s why you always learn new things from them.
People who are passionate and insist on following their dreams
Vulnerable and are not afraid of being that way
These people are professionals on challenging others and they exactly know how and when to do it
They encourage and acknowledge
The people who inspire you can be rare but when you feel that they are the ones: open your eyes and ears, observe and listen to them very carefully, let them touch your heart and start thinking immediately...
Be aware...

This is the time when things will change in your life, new meanings will capture your soul and you will be challenged.
Thank you to the very special ones who inspired me in my life... Believe me life is not the same since I met you all...

My fishing rituals with Dad...

Waking up at 05:30 in the morning to a lovely summer day... wearing a short and t-shirt, grabbing some sandwiches and getting ready to start our ritual... This is something I love to do since I was a small child.

You get on the boat and the journey begins...

And did you know that this is the most beautiful time of the day? Especially when the weather is clear, the colours are so vivid and the only sound is the silence of nature...

So, this is how it looks actually

It makes you feel free, dreamy and thinking of how great life is...

Oooh here are the early morning workers who I love to watch, they are trying to catch fish bait (kind of small shrimps)

Moving on our way we come across to a lot of fisherman, who tries to make their living... We try to get some tips about the best locations, if we are lucky they share tips. If not they wish us 'good luck' and pretend they did not hear us :-)

My father has special techniques to find the proper location, the place you will drop your anchor. Sometimes you will not be in your lucky day and you will have to move your location several times, until you find the best resources :-) And when you finally find it, fishing will start... I can tell fishing is a kind of 'meditation' but with some 'adrenalin'..

If it is a big catch, you scream until you get it safe into the boat... (take into consideration that this one is quite big for line fishing) And the rest, will be our dinner for tonight...

Now it's time to swim and take the advatage of being in the middle of the sea, so far away from the land...

So, we are on our way back... look at the big fisherman boat, nice colours...

Hey! we wish you good luck !!! See you next time...

Thank you Dad for the great experience I have, each time...

living the moment...

PHOTOGRAPHY: a picture painted by the sun without
instruction in art... Ambrose Bierce

Happiness, joy and fullfillment... that's how I exactly feel when I have my camera in my hands, finding myself capturing the 'magic' moments...

Free like a bird while discovering new places, shooting the unexpected...

Not only being a part of life but feeling the joy and happiness...

Shooting the 'simple and peaceful'...

Photography is the perfect way of 'living the moment'...

 Life is a long journey...

When I was a child, I did quite interesting things... I loved swimming... I used to put on my mask and take my fishing equipment with me and go fishing. It was not very normal while other children was playing with sand or silly water games... Then  I decided to be a Marine Biologist. Whoever asked me what would I be when I grow up:
that was the answer :-)

Then - after sometime - I understood that this might be a difficult job to earn a living and I started to search for another job.I was going to be a 'lawyer' finally! But ofcourse not an ordinary one. A 'criminal' or 'defense' lawyer :-)

I told this to my parents, my mother told me that this is a very difficult job and gave me lessons on how dangerous it could be. I could not resist longer - taking into consideration of our country law system. She said it would definetly not be like in the films... I was convinced.

So there was not much left for me and I carried on growing up. Finally I decided to be a 'hotelier' which was fun and nice. I worked in that business for sometime and now I am working in the fashion retail sector, for more than 5 years.

Well now, I have a quite normal life (it depends on what is the definition of being normal of course) but each day
I discover new things, face new challenges, learn others and myself...

This blog is to share my life and everything that has a 'meaning' and is 'important' to me. Hope you enjoy it...
